Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 5G in for review

Xiaomi recently unveiled the Redmi Note 13 5G, and we got a unit in the office to review. But before we start our review process, let’s unbox the Redmi Note 13 5G and see what’s on offer.

We got the Ocean Teal version of the Redmi Note 13 5G, which comes in a white retail box, which includes a protective case, charging cable, a 33W power adapter and a SIM ejector tool.

The Redmi Note 13 5G is powered by the Dimension 6080 SoC, has up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage onboard, and runs Android 13-based MIUI 14. It has a 6.67″ FullHD+ 120Hz AMOLED screen protected by Gorilla Glass. The display has a centered punch-hole for the 16MP selfie camera but no fingerprint scanner at the bottom as the power button is embedded.

Turn the phone over, and you’ll find a square-shaped camera island with an LED flash and three cameras – 108MP primary, 8MP ultrawide and 2MP depth. The Redmi Note 13 5G is IP54-rated and has a flat design, which some may not find ergonomic enough.

Fueling the whole package is a 5,000 mAh battery that draws up to 33W of power through a USB-C port. Depending on the market, the smartphone has a 3.5mm headphone jack, an IR blaster and an NFC chip.
