Xiaomi Mix Flip gets certified in China with support for satellite connectivity
In September last year we first heard that Xiaomi was working on a flip-style foldable to complement the Mix Fold line in its portfolio. It will be called the Xiaomi Mix Flip, and it was rumored to arrive alongside the Mix Fold 4 later this year.
Today, Mix Flip has been certified by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The certification reveals what might be a surprising fact: the Mix Flip will have support for satellite connectivity.
It’s also confirmed to run Android, as is its 5G support, but none of those are surprising revelations. Although this certificate does not reveal any specifications of the device, some of them have already been leaked.
It is said to come with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and a triple camera setup similar to Oppo’s Find N3 Flip with 3x telephoto. Hope the mix flip borrows from the thinning of the mix fold line. Unfortunately, it may only have limited availability within China. Let’s wait and see.
