Weekly poll results: the Realme 12 Pro+ has potential, the 12 Pro is a swing and a miss
If you compare the Realme 12 Pro and 12 Pro+, you’ll see only a few differences – however, last week’s poll results show that these two phones couldn’t be more different. None of them are going to be hot sellers, but the Plus model is definitely the winner here.
Let’s start with Realme 12 Pro because it will be smaller. While 1 in 10 people are interested in this model, another 2 could be talked into getting one if the phone gets great results in reviews. For most, there are better mid-rangers they can buy. Many are stuck until the Samsung Galaxy A55 and Nothing Phone (2a) arrive.
The Realme 12 Pro+ isn’t as acclaimed, but it’s a much better pick. 2 in 10 are already interested, 2 more may be affected (our review is ongoing).
The design of the 12 Pro pair was inspired by luxury watches, some love it, others still don’t, it’s a unique look, while some brands keep reusing the same old tired designs. Curved displays are a common complaint we see in the comments, and sure enough, people point to it as a downside for the two states.
The chipset is another issue. The 12 Pro+ has a more powerful Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, but this chip is significantly less powerful than the similarly named 7+ Gen 2. The regular 12 Pro uses Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, which is still slow.
Stay tuned for Realme 12 Pro+ review. We have already tested the battery life and it looks quite promising, beating its competition.
