Reports of a new iQOO 12 phone from vivo with a 64MP telephoto camera emerged earlier this year, and today a reliable leakster has confirmed it – we see an OmniVision 64B sensor with OIS along with a 3x telephoto lens on the front.
The main camera will also have a universal sensor – OV50H with 50 MP resolution and OIS, while the ultra-wide-angle camera will have a 50 MP Samsung ISOCELL JN1 sensor.

Vivo isn’t yet ready to relaunch an iQOO with a periscope lens for the telephoto camera; The last such phone came six generations ago when the iQOO 5 Pro 5G had an 8MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom.
Still, bringing a 64 MP cam with OIS (which was surprisingly missing from the predecessor iQOO 11 Pro) is a big step forward. The iQOO brand was initially targeted at the gaming audience, but evolved into a series for power users.
