The cheaper Galaxy Z Fold6 version might cost way less than you were expecting
Samsung has been rumored for some time to shake up the foldable smartphone market by launching a cheaper version of the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold6 with the device this year – possibly in mid-July.
This cheaper version of the foldable now has a rumored price tag, and it’s surprisingly good: under $800. That’s less than half of what the Fold5 started with. You should probably read that as $799 and don’t forget that $799 might translate across the pond to €919 or something like that, but still – for a foldable like a book, that’s incredibly impressive and could actually take the foldable market to new heights, sales-wise.
That is, of course, if this still unconfirmed rumor from Korea is indeed spreading. It’s a big ‘if’, but we’re excited nonetheless. The same source also tells us that the cheaper Fold6 will have the same camera as the Fold5, as they aren’t as expensive to begin with. Samsung is even said to use the same supplier.
Huawei is really starting to dig into the global market share for Samsung’s foldables, and this cheap Fold6 could be the Korean company’s answer. We hope so for the sake of the market.
