Samsung is reportedly planning an Unpacked event for the Galaxy S24 launch in early January, and new reports have doubled the timeframe. According to South Korean industry insiders, the new flagships will arrive “early next year” and the event will be held in San Francisco just like last time.
The Korean source noted that the event will be an hour’s drive from Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino. That’s hardly surprising, as the Galaxy S23 lineup was also launched there, and Samsung has a history of hosting its big launches in the US – the Galaxy Z Flip4 and Galaxy Z Fold4 debuted in New York.
Samsung unpacked for the last time in South Korea to promote its home country and bid for Expo 2030, which will be held in Busan, the second largest city after Seoul.
