It’s been a while since Samsung made the first One UI 6 beta available for its S-series flagships, and all this time its foldables have been sidelined. Well, not anymore. Starting today, the One UI 6 beta program, based on Android 14, is available for both the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy Z Flip5.
If you want to enroll your Fold5 or Flip5 in the beta, you’ll need to go to the Samsung Member app, where you’ll find a big banner advertising the beta at the top. If you don’t see it, then according to some reports you may have to uninstall and reinstall the Samsung Members app and then it will be there.
Once you tap on the banner in question, you’ll agree to some terms, and then you’ll get the first beta as an over-the-air update. Note that this is a 2.7GB download for the Fold5 and will likely be the same size for the Flip5.
After applying the update, the Fold5 build will be F946BXXU1ZWJ2, while the Flip5 will be F731U1UEU1ZWJ2. Note that the Fold5 is only eligible to participate in the beta in the US and India, and the same restrictions may apply to the Flip5.
