Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 silently launched
The Galaxy Tab A9 is the latest Android tablet officially from Samsung. The device was released without much fanfare on the official websites of Samsung Guatemala and Amazon UAE. Some press materials have also mentioned the Tab A9+ but they haven’t revealed the full specs sheet and pricing details for now.
The Tab A9 comes with an 8.7-inch IPS LCD with a resolution of 800 x 1340 pixels. A previous Google Play Console listing confirmed that the device is equipped with MediaTek’s Helio G99 chip in the base variant with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage which is expandable via a microSD card slot. The Amazon UAE listing confirms that the Tab A9 and A9+ come with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
The Tab A9+ is expected to launch with an 11-inch LCD with a 1200 x 1920px resolution, a Snapdragon 695 chipset with 4/8GB of RAM, up to 128GB of storage and optional 5G support. Both the new tablets will likely boot Android 13 with One UI 5.1 on top. We didn’t get any details about the camera or battery capacity for the two new tablets.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 with LTE connectivity is priced at AED 699 ($190) on Amazon UAE and GTQ 1,499 ($191) on Samsung Guatemala. We can expect pricing and availability details for more regions in the coming days.
