Red Magic 9 Pro will have a flat display, no camera bumps
The Red Magic 9 Pro will arrive on November 23 and Nubia’s gaming arm has started with teasers. The first is a side view of the smartphone, which reveals that it will be flat on both sides – no curved display and no camera bump.
The image also shows a cooling vent on the side, a fan that has been a staple of Red Magic flagships for the past few generations.
The cameras aren’t detailed, but we wouldn’t expect anything groundbreaking for a phone aimed at gaming enthusiasts. According to Digital Chat Station, the main cam will feature a 1/1.57” 50MP Samsung GN5 sensor on the front and an OIS lens on the front.
The ultra-wide camera will feature the Samsung JN1 imager, seen on the Xiaomi 14 and iQOO 12 – with 50MP resolution and 0.64um pixel size.
So far, we’ve only heard about a Red Magic 9 Pro. There is still uncertainty whether Nubia will introduce a non-Pro version or whether it will maintain the marketing logic of the previous series (8 and 8S) and bring a pair of Pro variants.
