Oppo introduces Air Glass 3 XR prototype at MWC 2024
Oppo is another big tech giant to announce a new product at MWC 2024. Today, the company revealed future plans for AI and a prototype of the new Air Glass 3 XR (augmented reality) glasses.
The glasses can access Oppo’s AndesGPT model via a smartphone, providing a “no-brainer” AI experience. The company apparently thinks that pressing a button on your phone is too much effort, and it’s trying to do something about it.
Air Glass 3 weighs 50 grams and has a self-developed resin waveguide with a refractive index of 1.70. It has an eye-popping brightness of over 1,000 nits.
Oppo claims that these features ensure an experience close to regular glasses and that it offers the best full-color display of its kind.
Eyewear has an AI voice assistant powered by AndesGPT and supports touch interaction to control music, voice calls, information display and image browsing. It has four microphones designed to improve noise isolation and Oppo promises high quality audio output.
Oppo has also revealed plans to bring various generative AI features to the Reno11 and look for the N3 phone with an AI eraser for photos.
