Oppo A79’s design leaks in promo materials
Oppo A79 will arrive soon with a Dimensity 6020 chipset and 33W charging. The phone’s promotional materials were shared by Sudhashu1414 on X, formerly known as Twitter. They feature a lightweight design with a large battery and a thin profile, which inspires the paint job on the back, imitating a feather.
The phone will have 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage when it arrives. The phone will also have a microSD slot for up to 1TB of data.
The rear cameras are two, despite the confusing circle-within-a-circle design. The primary shooter will feature a 50MP Samsung JN1 sensor, while the secondary is a standard 2MP depth sensor. The front camera inside the punch hole has an 8 MP sensor.
SuperVOOC charging is advertised to fill the 5,000 mAh battery from 0 to 100% in 74 minutes. The device is clearly aimed at Southeast Asian audiences, as promotional materials say a 15-minute charge can provide more than three hours of battery life for watching the ICC World Cup, cricket’s highest championship.
The Oppo A79 will also come with dual stereo speakers and Ultra Volume mode that will boost the volume up to 300%.
Promotional materials make a bold promise of 36-month warranty protection, meaning it should perform “like new” for three years.
The sources have no information on when the Oppo A79 will be announced.
