The OnePlus 12 will make its global debut on January 23 after its initial launch in China last year. Since it’s been official in China for a few months now, we basically know almost everything about it. Almost, since of course we were missing pricing information for markets outside of China.
Today the mystery is no longer a mystery with Akal Amazon Listings. OnePlus 12 is going to be priced at Rs 69,999 in India with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.
As you can see, there’s a screenshot to prove it. The screenshot itself usually comes from a reliable source, but of course that doesn’t say anything about the accuracy of the listing. For its price, the OnePlus 11 launched in India at INR 56,999 with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, while the version with 16GB RAM and 256GB storage went for INR 61,999.
So jumping to INR 69,999 this time seems like a stretch. Note that sometimes such premature listing prices are highly speculative.
For other markets, don’t forget that many companies don’t translate directly from one currency to another. So, while INR 69,999 is around $844 or €771 at current exchange rates, that doesn’t mean you’ll get it for $850 in the US and €799 in the EU. It doesn’t work like that. The numbers are usually higher in the EU, so $850 will translate to at least €899, for example. In fact, the 12/256GB OnePlus 11 was $799 and €919 respectively.
