Nothing Phone (2a) is here, Galaxy A55 and A35 incoming, Week 10 in review
Welcome to your Week 10 recap. The Nothing Phone (2a) is official after weeks of teasers. It has a classic no-nonsense design with a semi-opaque rear panel, three glyph LED lights and a horizontal dual camera that says nothing to the eye.
The phone packs a custom Dimensity 7200 Pro built on TSMC’s new 4nm process and a 6.78-inch 10-bit AMOLED display. The phone runs Nothing OS 2.5 on top of Android 14, with the promised 3 years of Android updates and 4 years of security updates. The phone will be available from next week (March 12), starting at €329, £319 or INR 23,999.
Samsung’s Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35 will be official next week on March 11. For the phones we’ve seen early listings for, the A55 starts at €480 for the 128GB model, while the A35 costs €380.
We’ve also seen official-looking press renders, and there’s a good guess that the Galaxy A55 will use an Exynos 148, while the A35 will opt for an Exynos 1380. The duo has a 5,000mAh battery and a 6.6-inch 120Hz-ready Super. AMOLED screen.
Finally, CAD-based renders have revealed what the fourth-generation iPhone SE could look like – an iPhone 14 body with a notch OLED upfront.
These CAD renders don’t have an action button or mute switch next to the volume keys, raising questions about whether these images are accurate and why Apple would actually do this. The phone is expected to arrive in 2025, but we may see it earlier as industry insiders are already getting details about the phone.
