For years, Huawei and Porsche Design have partnered on special edition Mate series phones and smartwatches, but that partnership ended last year with the Mate 50 RS Porsche Design. Huawei is now entering a new phase with its Ultimate Design lineup and the Mate 60 RS Ultimate Design is the first device in the new premium line.
Specs-wise, the Mate 60 RS Ultimate Edition is the same as the Mate 60 Pro+ with a 6.82-inch LTPO OLED, Kirin 9000s chipset, 48MP + 48MP + 40MP cameras and a 5,000 mAh battery.
While the Mate 60 RS Ultimate has a ceramic back and an octagon-shaped camera island, there are significant visual changes. You can choose between red and black with a dual-tone finish.
Huawei Mate 60 RS Ultimate Design is offering one year of free benefits to owners who apply for Huawei Card.
These include VIP lounge services at airports and train stations, flight delay insurance, legal advice and equestrian lessons. Huawei is also selling the exclusive Star Diamond protective case in black and red that covers the front and back of the Mate 60 RS Ultimate.
The Huawei Mate 60 RS Ultimate design is available in Black and Red colors. It retails for CNY 11,999 ($1,641) in its 16/512GB trim and CNY 12,999 ($1,778) for the 16GB RAM and 1TB storage version. Open sales in China will begin later this month.
