Huawei is preparing to launch the Mate 70 device in September, internal sources have revealed. The launch is meant to coincide with the iPhone 16 announcement, and the flagships are expected to be in direct competition, at least in China.
The information comes at the same time as another report claims that Huawei has sold 30 million units of the Mate 60 device since its unannounced arrival in August 2023.
Multiple reports have revealed that Huawei is gaining traction in its home market. Since Google services are banned in China, HarmonyOS phones lack them.
The Mate 70 is said to bring a better front panel with a 1”-type camera sensor and more uniform and slimmer bezels.
