Here’s the iPhone 15 Pro getting disassembled on video
The iPhone 15 Pro was unveiled alongside the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, and iPhone 15 Pro Max at Apple’s fall event last week. They all went up for pre-order last Friday and should be available on September 22.
Earlier, YouTube channel PBKreviews somehow got hold of an iPhone 15 Pro and tore it apart in a video, as has become tradition. Here is the full video, which shows the internals of the iPhone 15 Pro made by Apple. As usual, we finally see each other again little by little.
The video can serve as a guide to self-disassembly, though with Apple’s controversial self-repair techniques we’re not sure you’d necessarily want to go that route. For most people, such videos will be in the realm of entertainment, we gather.
The conclusion of the teardown is a recoverability score of 7 out of 10, on a scale where 10 is the most easily repairable. 7 isn’t a bad score, but the result is hampered by Apple’s policy on adding parts to devices, and iOS throws all kinds of errors if you use unauthorized parts.
