A report last week suggested that Apple would announce the new iPad tomorrow – October 17 – but now it looks like Apple will unveil the Pencil 3 instead.
According to a report by Japanese Makotokara, supporting earlier information from Majin Buro, the new Apple Pencil 3 will feature magnetic interchangeable pen tips, suitable for various purposes such as drawing and painting.
Previous reports suggested that Apple would bring new silicon to the mostly unchanged iPad Air, base iPad, and iPad mini. The Air will gain an M2 chip, while the Mini will pack an A16 Bionic. Also, Apple said to fix the “jelly scrolling” problem on current iPad minis — the problem that causes content to cut off.
