Apple Music Classical offically launches in six Asian markets

The Apple Music Classical app rolled out earlier this month in six Asian markets — Japan, China, Korea, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. It then urged users to “pre-order” and today, two weeks after the initial launch, the service is finally available.

The service is free for all Apple Music subscribers but also works with a standalone app. It offers over 5 million classical tracks in hi-res lossless audio and people can subscribe through their Apple account.

The classical streaming service includes content that is exclusive to its app, and a different interface that provides information about the work’s name, orchestra, conductor, contributing artist, and year of recording. The Browse tab is designed differently from the regular Apple Music app to better match specific needs.
