Xiaomi is working on a new flagship smartwatch, revealing the leakster digital chat station on their Weibo profile. The tentatively named Watch S3 will have a larger battery than the S2, and for the first time Xiaomi wearables will support LTE connectivity.
The Watch S3 will have a 520mAh battery, which is slightly better than the Watch S2’s 500mAh cell. OLED screens will gain adaptive refresh rates, significantly increasing battery life. The upcoming watch will also support 4G connectivity and native voice calls.
In response to the comments, the leakster added that the watch could be launched at the Xiaomi 14 series launch event later in the year. Smartphones usually arrive in December as some of the first devices with Qualcomm’s latest flagship Snapdragon chipset, and it looks like this year will be no exception.
