Motorola’s new surprise Edge 40 Neo, leaked ahead of launch
Motorola is reportedly working on a new smartphone in their Edge series. It will be launched as the Edge 40 Neo, joining the series with the standard Edge 40 that debuted last May.
A Geekbench listing of the Motorola Edge 40 Neo has revealed that it has a motherboard codenamed ‘manaus’. It consists of eight cores with a base clock speed of 2 GHz. While the chipset name is not confirmed, it is speculated to be the MediaTek 1050.
Although the benchmarking database mentions 8GB of RAM, more variants may hit the market at launch. The listing reveals that the device will run on Android 13 operating system.
The Motorola Edge 40 Neo will feature a 6.55-inch centered punch-hole P-OLED (POLED) display with FullHD+ resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. For photography, the Edge 40 Neo will have a small rectangular camera module on the back panel, which will house a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 13-megapixel secondary lens.
The Edge 40 Neo will be powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support.
