Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 first renders reveal similar design

Samsung released the Galaxy S24 flagship last month and the company is now working on the next foldable, traditionally launched in the summer. The phones may be six months away, but we’re already seeing the first Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 renders, based on information obtained by OnLeaks.

The pictured smartphone looks almost identical to the Fold5 and Fold4, but the corners of the frame are slightly sharper, and the sides are now completely flat.

The foldable is undoubtedly Samsung’s own take on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and Galaxy AI – generative AI features.

The source says the Fold6 will have a 7.6” foldable panel and will measure 153.5 x 132.5 x 6.1mm when unfolded, which is 1.4mm smaller and 2.6mm wider than its predecessor. There’s still no slot for an S Pen and the unchanged thickness points to a similar internal design, including the hinge.

The cover screen is said to measure 6.2″ with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a brightness of up to 2,600 nits.
The source also suggested that Samsung will ship the Z Fold6 with One UI 6.1.1 on top of Android 14 and the phone will receive 7 major OS updates and 7 years of security updates.
