Two more Realme Note phones coming this year, target is 10M sales of the series in 2024
The Realme Note 50 is coming and it won’t be alone. The company has big plans for the series and will launch three phones by the end of the year and aims to sell 10 million units.
Francis Wang, CEO and Global Marketing Director of Realme Europe revealed the ambitious plan and shed some light on the availability of the company’s new series.
The first Realme Note smartphone will launch in the Philippines on January 23, with two more to follow next month.
Realme’s Note lineup will be plugging the sub-$100/€100 hole in the company’s portfolio. This means it will be positioned lower than other manufacturers’ Note series, which is usually a mid-range affair. Realme Note phones will hit almost every market where the company will do business in the next few years.
The notable exception is India, where Realme believes it has a fairly rich portfolio. The other is China, where Realme is an online-first brand. Realme expects the Note series to be mainly bought by people who look for a physical experience before buying.
It aims to sell 10 million units in 2024 alone. The company is confident that the superior build quality of its Note series will help it achieve this – it promises better design and higher quality materials than the competition.
Realme also claims that it will offer superior quality controls – a traditional pain point for entry-level devices – and better after-sales support. While we didn’t get any specifics about the length of software support, Realme says it will aim to offer longer warranties and more updates than its direct rivals.
